Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM
In conjunction with THINK DIFFERENTLY, Anderson Center for Autism has received a grant from Dutchess County for our Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM program. Our program has also received a grant from PCSB Foundaton, which has made it possible for the program to expand into Putnam County.
We are excited to offer our Autism Supportive Environment program to businesses and organizations in Dutchess and Putnam Counties. Through individualized consultations, Anderson Center Consulting will assist businesses in designing an environment that is supportive to the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Individualized consulation may include:
- Environmental Assessment: identifies environmental modifications and supports promoting accessibility and inclusion. Assessment includes recommendations for space planning, environmental design, organization, material management, and visual supports to create an environment that is functional, safe, and supportive.
- Staff Training: promotes a better understanding, service, and supports for individuals with autism and their family members.
Businesses that fully complete the Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM component of the program will recieve:
- Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM Certificate of Completion
- Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM decal for display in the business window
- Continuous listings on our website, in marketing materials, and in our resource director
