STAASBURG – As Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro was sworn in for his second term, the message was “Thinking Differently.”
The ceremony took place Monday afternoon at the Center for Autism in Staatsburg.
Neil Pollack, the center’s CEO, acting as master of ceremonies observed that Molinaro demonstrates thinking differently in his governing style.
Molinaro was optimistic about the future.
“In Dutchess County we still believe that holding public office is a sacred obligation; an obligation that thrives on honesty, diligence and optimism,” Molinaro said. “Through bipartisanship economies can grow, the environment can be protected, communities revitalized, and differences embraced. Together we can ensure our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to live and pursue their dreams, right here in this place we call home.”
As other elected official spoke about Molinaro’s successes and their hopes of working together in the future, they referenced past initiatives such as Think Dutchess and Think Differently.
“There is no better place ‘thinking differently’ than the Anderson Center where they think differently every day,” said Poughkeepsie Mayor-Elect Robert Rolison, referring to Molinaro’s 2015 special needs initiatives.
