Staatsburg, New York….Anderson Foundation for Autism today announced details of its annual Golf Classic, one of many events being held in 2024, which is also Anderson’s Centennial year. The outing, which is expected to raise over $125,000 for the nonprofit, is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024 at The Links at Union Vale in Lagrangeville, New York. It is sponsored by Oldies 98.9 and Day Seckler, among others.

Anderson Center for Autism, founded in 1924, provides educational, vocational, residential, clinical, and training programs designed to help further its mission of “optimizing the quality of life for individuals with autism.” According to the Centers for Disease Control, 1 in 36 are diagnosed with the neurological disorder, which can present with a wide range of communication, sensory processing, and socialization challenges.

Said Patrick Paul, CEO/Executive Director of Anderson Center for Autism, “Anderson’s Golf Classic not only raises substantial funds for our organization, but the event also gives golfers, sponsors, and volunteers a chance to enjoy a fun day on the course surrounded by people who share a commitment to the same cause. People travel from all over to participate – the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic – even as far away as California! And dozens of businesses and individuals from near and far generously sponsor the event. We’ve also got an incredible volunteer corps and team who make it all happen; we’re grateful to everyone involved, and look forward to a great day out there again this year.”

Added Eliza Bozenski, Chief Development Officer of Anderson Foundation for Autism, “There is no doubt that everything we are planning in 2024 will be extra-celebratory given the fact that this is our Centennial year! That said, we expect Anderson’s Golf Classic to sell out quickly, and  encourage golfers to register on our website as soon as possible. We also have a broad range of sponsorship opportunities available, so there are many ways to be a part of this special day.”

The 2024 Anderson Golf Classic will include a shotgun start, scramble format, breakfast, lunch, cocktail hour, and awards dinner. Unlimited beverage cart and stations are included. All golfers will receive a golfer gift and favor bag. Individual tickets are $300 per player, with registration for foursomes also available.

Anderson Center for Autism was first opened 100 years ago in 1924. The slogan for its centennial year, which was crafted by Anderson dietician Taylor Reynolds, is “a legacy of compassion, a century of impact.”

Paul noted, “Over the decades, we’ve certainly grown and evolved – but our objective remains the same as that of our founder Dr. Victor V. Anderson: to support people with special needs. Every dollar we raise helps us continue to build on this important work.”
