Ivana holds a Master’s degree from Comenius University and a PhD. in Special Education from University of Presov in Slovakia. She is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education in Presov, Slovakia where, she teaches courses such as Problem Behavior in Education, Introduction to ABA, ABA in Education, Education of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Education of Students with Severe Multiple Disabilities. She is also the founder of the ABA Clinic, an NGO where she supervises behavioral interventions for children with ASD. She is currently a member of the ABAI Licensing and Credentialing Committee and a member of the Anderson Center International, where the goal is to spread awareness of Applied Behavior Analysis worldwide.
She gained many years of practical experience in the field of education of children and students with autism spectrum disorders and students with multiple disabilities in the United States of America, where she worked as a special ed teacher in a Day Hab program for people with severe multiple disabilities and later as an ABA therapist for children with autism spectrum disorders in the process of inclusive education. She has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2007 when she started as an ABA therapist under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She continued her education by studying Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in the USA and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2012. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, counseling families of children with autism spectrum disorders, supervising behavioral therapists in the application of behavioral programs for children with autism spectrum disorders, and conducting training for families and professionals working with children with autism spectrum disorders.
She continues to deepen his over 20 years of experience in the field of education of children and students with autism spectrum disorders and focuses her professional and research output on the identification and evaluation of innovative approaches in the education of this selected group of children and students.
